Meeting the new Consul General

A delegation from the Executive Committee of Thessaloniki Association “The White Tower” has visited the Greek Consulate on February 10, 2025, at 4:00pm and met with the new Consul General Mrs Dimitra Georgantzoglou.

The visitors welcomed the new Consul General and discussed various topics in regards to the state of our Association, the Greek community of Melbourne as well as the problems facing the use of the Greek language in Australia and particularly in Victoria.

The meeting was conducted in a friendly atmosphere and the Committee has expressed their support for the important role the diplomat will have to cater for the needs of all Greek-Australians in Melbourne.

Αντιπροσωπεία του Δ.Σ. της Ένωσης Θεσσαλονικέων Μελβούρνης “Ο Λευκός Πύργος” επισκέφτηκε τη νέα Γενική Πρόξενο της Ελλάδας στη Μελβούρνη, κ. Δήμητρα Γεωργαντζόγλου στις 10 Φεβρουαρίου 2025, και ώρα 4:00μμ.

Στη συνάντηση που ήταν εγκάρδια και φιλική η αντιπροσωπεία της Ένωσης ευχήθηκε καλή διαμονή και συμπαράσταση στο σπουδαίο έργο της Γεν. Προξένου, εφόσον καλείται να εξυπηρετήσει τις ανάγκες των Ελληνο-Αυστραλών μιας τόσο μεγάλης παροικίας εκτός Ελλάδας.

Της ευχόμαστε και από αυτό το βήμα κάθε στήριξη και συμπαράσταση στο έργο της.
