Sister-Cities Festival 2017

The Thessaloniki Association’s organised activities marking the 33rd Anniversary of Sister-Cities Melbourne and Thessaloniki were another great success for the organisation.

The Gala Dinner on November 25th as well as the Festival at Fed Square on Sunday 26th November were visited and enjoyed by thousands of Melburnians. The Greek and Australian Flags were present alongside the footpath where St. Kilda Rd meets Swanston Street and $4000 were donated to the Alphington Grammar school of the proceeds of the Dinner.

The weather was a bit of a problem at the beginning of the day on Sunday, however after midday the skies were blue again and the sunshine lit up the beautiful Fed Square. MC’s were Dafni Trepca and Mathew Staios.
