H σύνδεση της Λήμνου και ANZAC

Η Ένωση Θεσσαλονικέων είναι υπερήφανη και συστήνει την εκδήλωση μνήμης της συμβολής των Αυστραλών στρατιωτών στον Α’ Παγκόσμιο Πόλεμο και προωθεί την πιο κάτω εκδήλωση που διοργανώνεται από τη Συντονιστική Επιτροπή Μνήμης της Λήμνου στο Πολεμικό Μουσείο της Αθήνας στις 25 Απριλίου 2015.
Το πρόγραμμα και περισσότερες λεπτομέρειες για τη σημαντική αυτή εκδήλωση θα βρείτε παρακάτω. Παροτρύνουμε όλους όσους μπορούν να παρευρεθούν.
Thessaloniki Association “The White Tower” together with the Lemnos Gallipoli Commemorative Committee would like to advise that we’re organising a major event in Athens on Anzac Day 25 April 2015 at the War Museum. This event,“The Lemnos Connection to ANZAC”, is supported by the Australian Embassy in Greece. It will include speeches by prominant individuals; “Commemorating Gallipoli’s Hellenic Heart – Lemnos and the Anzacs, 1915”, a lecture by Jim Claven, a historian and the secretary of our committee and a presentation of a video, “Anzac Day and Lemnos – 100 years”, especially produced by the Cinema Archive of the War Museum. In the foyer of the Auditorium there will be a display of a series of forty photographs taken by soldiers on Lemnos in 1915. Jim has selected these images based on his extensive research on the Lemnos link to Anzac.
